FLCV to endorse for Providence School Board

The FLCV is planning to consider candidates for the Providence District School Board special election. This is the first time that the FLCV has considered candidates for the school board and we decided it was appropriate because:
1. The school board is responsible for overseeing almost half of the Fairfax County budget, employs over 22,000 staff, and has 197 buildings.
2. The school district spends over $42M on electric, gas, oil, and water utilities each year.
3. Environmental stewardship is learned and needs to be reflected in the educational environment.
