FLCV Endorses John Jennison for Providence District School Board

The Fairfax League of Conservation Voters (FLCV) today announced their endorsement of John Jennison for the Providence District School Board. This is the first time the FLCV has made endorsements for the School Board and highlights the importance of environmental awareness in all facets of our public life.

John understands the challenges facing the school board and brings professional and personal experience to the job. During his leadership of the Fairfax Federation of Civic Associations, John reached out to the environmental community to help strengthen the Federations environmental programs. He was a founding member of the FLCV and helped interview candidates and educate them on the most important environmental issues.

John was also the Chairman of the 2007 Global Warming Poetry Slam sponsored by the Fairfax School District, the Fairfax Board of Supervisors, and the FLCV. In this endeavor John inspired students to combine passion for nature with poetry, rhythm, and performance to learn and share with others. Johns has demonstrated leadership, a connection with students, an excitement for learning, along with a thorough understanding the environmental challenges we all face.
