The Environmental Improvement Program (EIP) is intended to support the goals and objectives in the Board of Supervisors' Environmental Agenda. The EIP addresses both environmental project and policy needs by providing a framework for the county executive and the Board of Supervisors to make decisions regarding environmental investment and project planning, as well as a policy needs assessment.

The Board of Supervisors will have as one of its chief goals to integrate environmental planning and smart growth into all we do and to leave our land, water and air quality, better than we found it.
